Cocktails. What are they for?
Well, there’s an obvious answer.
This may come as a surprise, but we have it on reliable authority that people like a drink.

But people like to drink cocktails because they like the tastes cocktails can provide. If someone wants to drink, say vodka, it’s so much easier to just stick some in a glass.

That’s not a cocktail. Of course it’s not. It’s just vodka.

But what’s the point of asking for a cocktail if all you can taste is the mixer at the top, or the spirit poured in last? That’s not a cocktail either.

That’s just some drinks in the same glass.
